• Car Rental Collision/Loss Damage Insurance: Damage and theft protection for car rental when you rent for up to 31 consecutive days and the full amount is charged to the card.  This is a valuable added benefit and brings the Tangerine World Mastercard® in line with the best no annual fee cards available.
• Mobile Device Insurance: Cardholders receive protection on new cell phones, smartphones or tablets, when they charge the full cost to the card or when they purchase it through a plan and charge all wireless bill payments to the card.   The protection covers up to $1,000 if the mobile device is lost, stolen, accidentally damaged or experiences mechanical failure.  This is a welcome benefit for anyone who has accidentally dropped a phone or tablet and cracked the screen….
• Complimentary Lounge Key Membership: Cardholders receive admission to participating lounges for a flat fee of $32 USD per visit and select dining, retail and spa discounts at certain airports.  OK, we’ll admit this benefit does not blow us away, but even Thrifty couldn’t expect to get free lounge admission on a no annual fee card!  We’ll file this benefit under nice to have on a no annual fee card but not in and of itself, in our view, a reason for applying.
